The Enthusiast's Magazine of Ferrari
Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

I tell our customers that, as with all Ferraris, it probably will be a very good investment. I also tell them that's not the reason to buy one. It's a sign of the times that a new Ferrari model is coming to the U.S. market and it's already the target of financial speculators. |

It is no longer likely that a multimillion dollar Ferrari will sell on the telephone in one day as it was during the past year and a half of frenzied buying and selling . The new breed of buyer-speculator has too many cars and is now a seller. The buyers are now few and far between and those few are looking for and "up" side to anything they buy. |

That model, of course, is the California Spyder and while each example of the type is different in detail, some being more perfect than others aesthetically, the Ferrari 250 GT California concept as a whole is one of the most finished, finalised, and conceptually complete designs that simply can't be improved upon. |

On the 4th of March this year, the competition F40 developed from the street version by Giuliano Michelotto of Padova, made its testing debut at the Monza circuit, with the official suffix "Le Mans" added to its type number; its model designation had come full circle. |
| 32 | Feature | 340 MM - Ferrari's Workhorse An appreciation of s/n 0350 AM, which we drove at the recent Mille Miglia and of other 340 MMs Stanley Nowak Guy Mangiamele The Ferrari 340 Mille Miglia was the direct result of Aurelio Lampredi's efforts in designing a new larger engine for Ferrari's Grand Prix racing effort. A 4.1 liter sports car, the 340 America, was debuted at the Paris Salon in October, 1950. In March, 1951, Ferrari displayed a Touring bodied berlinetta at the Turin Auto Show. By the middel of 1952, Ferrari had built twenty two of these and may were raced with mixed results. |

Members from all over Australia either shipped or drove their Ferraris (to gain bonus concours points) down to Melbourne for the event, most of them staying at the Old Melbourne Hotel, whose car park over the next four days resembled the back lot at Maranello. |

| 63 | Corse | The yearly BE-NE-LUX Ferrari Club Meeting, 1989 The Ferrari F40s First Competition Appearance Ed Swart Mobiel Fotolab It was the turn of the Luxemburger Ferrari Owners Club to organize this year's famous Ferrari Benelux event over the late May weekend. They chose the great Spa Francorchamps circuit, situated in the beautiful Belgium Ardennes. The new Francorchamps track still uses part of the public roads for the two main straights, but has also a great new section with challenging corners and fast sweeps which makes it a very nice "drivers' track." |
